Start is the world's first child seat to have a tubular aluminium frame
construction and an integrated sound-system.
Recaro was founded by Wilhelm Reutter in 1906, when the automotive industry was
in its infancy. In the intervening century the company has manufactured a wide
variety of sports and performance seats for Porsche and other car makers. Recaro
when international in 1973 when its first plant opened in the US. Another
important milestone was the successful launch of the Recaro child seat in 1998,
the basis for establishing the Child Safety Competence Center in 2004.
One of Recaro's top seats is the Como G2, a rear to forward facing convertible.

system and top tether as well as microfiber cover material. It it designed for
